WHY ATLAS EXISTS
Our mission at ATLAS is to make science and new discoveries interesting and understandable for middle and high school students. Through our magazine, we introduce readers to topics across different fields, from biology and chemistry to physics, mathematics, astronomy, engineering, and emerging areas of research.
We want students to go beyond simply learning facts by exploring the questions scientists are currently asking, understanding how discoveries are made, and seeing how different fields connect to the world around them.
ATLAS also gives students the opportunity to explore topics they are interested in, write about new discoveries, and share ideas with other students. By breaking down complex topics into clear and engaging articles, we hope to make current research more accessible to younger audiences.
Most importantly, we want ATLAS to encourage curiosity and help students see science as something they can actively explore, question, discuss, and contribute to rather than something they only encounter in a classroom.
